Job Description

 

As a member of the The Companies Security Consumer Digital Protection team, and as part of the Cyber Defense Center within the Chief Security Office, you will be part of a growing national team that ensures the safety of The Companies customers. In this exciting role, you will be constantly learning, growing and getting your hands on the newest technologies in fast-paced and complex environments.

 

As a Security Engineer on our CDP team, you will be joining and collaborating with a dynamic team, making use of your analytical skills to develop and propose innovative solutions to streamline workflows and plan to onboard new data sets into our SOAR platform. You will enable the team to react to a rapidly evolving threat landscape by using wireless and wireline technologies.

 

You will also support our existing CDP program through thought leadership and technical expertise leveraging wireless and wireline technology to maintain platform health and log availability for IP to subscriber attribution for CSO stakeholders, supporting data integrity and ensuring regulatory compliance.

 

You will also be part of the greater CDC, helping maintain and onboard key initiatives vital to Cybersecurity within The Company.

Responsibilities

​

  • Maintain, design playbooks and monitor SOAR platform

  • Maintain relationships within The Company with data sources to ensure CDP’s needs are met as a stakeholder

  • Long-term strategy for IP within CSO

  • Support day-to-day activities for CDP

  • Work collaboratively as a team player and be part of a broader innovation/automation team

Requirements

 

  • 5+ years of experience in a network provider environment (wireless and wireline)

  • 5+ years of experience with Cybersecurity practices

  • Strong understanding of IP Technologies

  • Experience writing Python as scripts to be used by others

  • Experience working on (or along with) security teams

  • Excellent time management, communication, decision-making, analytical and organizational skills, including the ability to work on multiple projects at the same time without supervision

  • University degree preferred but college diploma acceptable in Information Security, Computer Science, Engineering, or similar disciplines

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

  • Knowledge of security monitoring and incident response

  • Knowledge of threat intelligence

  • Knowledge of SOAR products

  • Experience in Data Analytics

  • Bilingual English/French
