Job Description

We are looking for someone who will act in a lead capacity and provide expert advice on operational system, applications planning, performance, availability, integration, support, and release/deployment management.

Here’s some of what you may be asked to perform:

Define, deploy and lead systems/applications and technical infrastructure operations to support clients and applications.
Identify, recommend, source, negotiate and implement solutions (buy/build/reuse) to enhance customer experience, availability, and/or reduce cost in support of client needs.
Influence product direction, foresee issues and gaps, identify solutions and work comfortably with leading edge products that are untested/ unproven in the market.
Manage complex application deployment in load balanced service-oriented environment.
May help test, debug, analyze and document environment components.
Research and analyze business requirements to recommend the best solutions within the business technology architecture. collect environment requirements for infrastructure implementation by analyzing the current system environment, using technical tools and utilities.
Develop and configure environments from conceptualization through stabilization using various platforms.
Troubleshoot initial failures, coordination of resolution efforts and communication with appropriate members.
Work with Architects to ensure that environment modifications interact appropriately, data conversion impacts are considered, and other areas of impact are addressed and meet performance requirements of the project.
Develop and recommend technical strategies and solutions to maintain and/or expand service levels.
Collaborate with business leaders, IT professionals, vendors to assess viability/priority of projects, ensure issues are clearly communicated.
Lead / contribute to the project management processes conduct pre and post implementation reviews.
Integrate technical solutions with the business environment, recognizing systems interdependencies and reusability, and ensuring seamless delivery.
Ensure appropriate security levels are established and maintained for processes, information exchange and system implementations.

Requirements

Undergraduate Degree or Technical Certificate
Graduate Degree preferred.

Foundational Requirements:

Minimum 5 years of experience coordinating and implementing technical changes across infrastructure and test teams to successfully deliver changes to development, test, and production environments.
Familiarity with Continuous Integration tools, source control and automation
Understanding of the Agile SDLC and how DevOps play a role in it
Hands-on experience working and supporting DevOps pipeline.
Proven industry experience with Git, BitBucket, Jira, Confluence, Jenkins
Experience using scripting languages including BASH, Groovy, PowerShell and Python to build automation
Strong desire to learn and exceptional problem solving skills.
Strong multitasking abilities and prioritization skills.
Extensive experience implementing environment integration testing.
Good communication (written and oral) and very good interpersonal skills.
Practical experience of software deployment, versioning and release management processes.
Practical experience of supporting software development and production environments.
Readiness and confidence in installing, configuring, upgrading business applications/systems in co-ordination with appropriate stakeholders.
Experience as a primary subject matter expert in multiple areas and consultant on aspects of operational support and solutions.
Ability to take on assignments that are highly complex and multifaceted.
Previous experience monitoring, coaching/ educating a small team of IT professionals.

Specialty Requirements:

Minimum 5 years of prior DevOps experience (focusing on continuous integration, infrastructure deployments, application code packaging and deployments, and test automation).
Minimum 2 years of prior Salesforce Administration experience supporting testing, deployment and deployment pipeline development.
Minimum 2 years of prior development experience in either Java, NodeJS, JavaScript, .NET or Salesforce (preferred).
Minimum 1 year of administrative experience with the following tools: Jenkins, Nexus.
Strong expertise in creating, integrating, and supporting automated deployment pipelines in Jenkins, working with either Java, NodeJS, .NET, or Salesforce (preferred).
Good working experience with build tools, especially Maven, Junit, Ant, NPM, Salesforce DX
