Job Description

Capital Markets Risk Management (CMRM) is responsible for monitoring and providing an independent view of the Profit & Loss, Market Risk, Counterparty Risk, Liquidity Management, OTC Derivatives Collateral, and Valuation activities across the bank's global trading businesses.

​

Within CMRM, the Counterparty Credit Risk - Large Exposures team collaborates with Capital Markets Risk groups, the company's Trading Business Management, Global Operations, Risk Technology,  Credit Management, Global Markets, Finance, and external regulators. The team oversees effective mnitoring of enterprise-wide large exposure frameworks tied to OSFI B2 and SCCL regulatory reporting.

As a Senior Risk Analyst, you will demonstrate strong governance, risk management, and control behaviors aligned with the company's policies. You will ensure all activities follow documented procedures and meet internal standards for accuracy, completeness, and compliance.

Job Accountabilities
  • Act as a team leader and subject matter expert for daily, monthly, and quarterly OSFI B2/SCCL large exposures reporting, covering both risk and mapping responsibilities.

  • Generate accurate daily/monthly/quarterly OSFI B2/SCCL regulatory reports, including management reporting and counterparty credit limit monitoring.

  • Review and research data mappings that impact reporting, including business, client, product, and legal entity attributes.

  • Execute infrastructure changes tied to new or revised policies, products, and processes.

  • Provide analysis, reporting, and monitoring of risk exposures; ensure proper escalation of violations and production issues.

  • Record, document, and explain all late or missing reports and process metrics.

  • Propose, plan, and champion efficiency projects to enhance business support and operational effectiveness.

  • Ensure internal control processes are robust, compliant, and fully documented, including establishing quality reviews for outputs.

  • Manage operational risk through cross-training, documentation, and audit readiness.

  • Liaise with front office traders, CRM, Global Counterparty Credit (GCC), audit, technology partners, and other stakeholders to support enterprise objectives.

  • Perform ad-hoc analyses related to metrics, exposures, or transactions as needed by management.

  • Maintain a strong understanding of analytical principles underlying credit risk across all relevant product types, including financial modelling considerations.

 

Requirements

  • Self-motivated, organized, able to work independently and collaboratively.

  • Strong interpersonal skills with demonstrated team leadership capability.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.

  • Prior experience in Risk Management roles strongly preferred.

  • Technical skills such as Excel, SQL, VBA considered an asset.

  • CFA or FRM credentials considered a strong advantage.
