Sr Business Analyst

Location: Toronto (Hybrid – 200 Bay Street)
Engagement: One-year contract with potential for conversion to full-time

Overview

A successful Senior Business Analyst serves as a critical connector between business strategy, product vision, and technical execution across The Companies Integrated Solutions ecosystem. They bring deep domain knowledge in banking systems and integrations, translate complex requirements into clear, actionable artifacts, and enable seamless collaboration across Product, Engineering, Testing, Sales, and Implementation teams. This role ensures that platform capabilities and integrations are designed with clarity, precision, and scalability, making the integration experience both effective and delightful for internal teams and external partners.

Responsibilities 

Business & Requirements Analysis

  • ï‚· Elicit, analyze, and document detailed business, functional, and system requirements for new products, enhancements, and integrations

  • Translate complex banking and system interactions into clear, consumable documentation for technical and non-technical audiences

  • Develop business scope and requirements that align with platform strategy and delivery priorities

 

Platform & Integration Analysis

  • ï‚· Analyze multiple banking systems and understand how they interact across the Integrated Solutions ecosystem

  • Assess system dependencies, data flows, and integration touchpoints to support scalable platform design

  • Ensure solution designs meet business needs, regulatory expectations, and operational constraints

 

Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • ï‚· Act as a trusted partner to Product Management, Engineering, QA, Sales, and Implementation teams

  • Communicate insights, trade-offs, and recommendations clearly to stakeholders at varying levels

  • Support sales channels and business partners with deep product and integration knowledge

 

Competitive & Market Insight

  • ï‚· Assist in analyzing competitor features, positioning, pricing, and capabilities

  • Identify product gaps and opportunities to strengthen platform differentiation

 

Delivery Support & Quality Assurance

  • ï‚· Monitor deliverables and ensure requirements are fully supported through development, testing, and implementation

  • Participate in testing, validation, and ongoing maintenance of applications within the banking ecosystem

  • Provide remote support during live and post-live implementations, including issue resolution as needed

 

Process Optimization & Continuous Improvement

  • ï‚· Participate in reviews of business processes and recommend optimization strategies

  • Stay current on industry trends, banking technologies, and process automation opportunities

  • Contribute to improving requirements practices, documentation standards, and delivery effectiveness

Required Qualifications and Skills
  • 5+ years financial services experience

  • Self-driven to meet deliverables and project timelines

  • Knowledge and or experience with a variety of banking applications and detailed understanding of those interactions

  • Requirements Analysis experience

  • Experience working with a cross-functional team

  • Experience managing multiple projects and priorities simultaneously

  • Ability to provide remote support for our bank customers during live and post live implementations which may include issue resolution and manual maintenance

  • Familiarity with Agile methodologies and practice is a plus

  • Project management or product owner experience a plus

  • Software Implementation and configuration background

  • Baseline understanding of the principles of technology
