We are seeking a highly motivated Account Manager to join our client-facing team. In this exciting role, you will be responsible for managing and nurturing a portfolio of named accounts within the top Telecommunications and Banking sectors, identifying and securing new business opportunities, and collaborating closely with our recruitment team to ensure successful talent placements. Key Responsibilities (with increasing autonomy):

Named Account Management & Growth (Telecommunications & Banking Focus):

  • Under the guidance of senior leadership, manage and nurture relationships with established key clients in the Telecommunications and Banking industries.

  • Learn to understand their complex IT talent needs, organizational structures, and strategic objectives.

  • Proactively engage with contacts at all levels to deepen relationships and identify ongoing and future staffing opportunities.

  • Work towards becoming the primary point of contact for day-to-day inquiries and ensuring client satisfaction.

New Business Development:

  • Identify, research, and prospect for new client opportunities within the IT sector, with a strategic focus on expanding our presence in Banking and Telecommunications, as well as other high-growth industries.

  • Initiate contact with potential clients through various channels (e.g., cold calling, networking, digital outreach).

  • Assist in preparing and delivering compelling sales presentations and proposals to prospective clients.

 

Client & Market Insight:

  • Develop a strong understanding of IT roles, technologies, and market trends relevant to the Canadian Telecommunications and Banking sectors.

  • Provide market insights and consultative advice to clients regarding talent availability, market rates, and effective staffing strategies.

Recruitment Collaboration & Delivery:

  • Act as a critical link between clients and our internal recruitment team.

  • Translate client requirements into clear and detailed job descriptions for recruiters.

  • Collaborate closely with recruiters to ensure a strong understanding of client culture, needs, and candidate preferences.

  • Review candidate submissions, coordinate interviews, and facilitate the overall hiring process, ensuring a seamless experience for both clients and candidates.

Negotiation & Administration:

  • Assist in negotiating contract terms, rates, and agreements with clients.

  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date client records and activity within our CRM system.

  • Prepare and present reports on account performance, sales forecasts, and client feedback.

Education & Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (e.g., Business, Commerce, Marketing, Communications) or equivalent practical experience demonstrating strong business acumen.

  • A strong desire to develop a career in sales/account management within the IT staffing industry.

  • Previous experience in a customer-facing role, sales, business development, or an internship within a recruitment or client management environment is a strong asset.

  • Excellent active listening and questioning skills to uncover client needs.

  • Highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple priorities effectively.

  • Ability to work both independently with minimal supervision and collaboratively within a team.

  • A demonstrated interest in technology and the IT landscape.
